¿Por qué esa chica está gritando al cajero?
Yesterday, I wanted to buy candy.
Innocent, right?
So my friend Irene and I went to the store to buy some. After I filled my bag, I went to pay. My wallet, which was full a few days ago, was completely empty. (I forgot that I had paid for the bus when I went out with my brother.)
SO! We left the bag with the woman, and went up to the ATM machine to pull money out of my card. There was some miscommunication of buttons, seeing as I first tried in Spanish. So when I started to try again, the machine ate my card.
After freaking out for a good two minutes, then realizing the bank is closed and no one can open it, I asked the security guard what to do. (All the while Irene is laughing her ass off). He tells me I need to wait and tomorrow go in and show my id.
So I go back, to call the number written on the ATM. When I finally got on with a person, I asked for someone who speaks English; Irene was trying to dictate what to say to me but without much success. After a few seconds of silence, I realize my phone had hung up on them because it doesn´t have any money on it.
All things considered, everything is solved now haha. I went to get my card this morning, my brother paid my phone, and tonight my friend is going back to pick up my bag of candy. good times.
Today someone on the street asked me for directions and not only did I know the answer, but when I told him he nodded, understood me, and made no indication that I had an accent. HA!
